Export Licence Applications

Licence applications, done properly first time

Complete, well-evidenced licence applications prepared and managed from start to finish.

Overview

A licence application is only as strong as the information behind it. Vague descriptions, missing end-user details or an incomplete undertaking are among the most common reasons applications stall — and every request for further information adds time before your goods can move.

I prepare applications so that the licensing officer has everything needed to make a decision: an accurate description and rating of the goods, a clear picture of the consignee and end user, and supporting documents that answer questions before they are asked. I then manage the application through to a decision, so you can concentrate on the order.

Questions

Export Licence Applications FAQs

How long does a licence take?

It depends on the goods, the destination and how complete the application is. Straightforward cases can be decided in a few weeks, while sensitive destinations or technologies can take longer. A complete, well-evidenced application is the single biggest thing within your control.

Can you apply on my behalf?

I prepare everything and can work within your company's licensing account as an agent, so that the licence is issued to your business. We'll agree the most practical set-up at the start.

What happens if my application is refused?

A refusal comes with reasons. I'll review them with you, explain your options — which may include a revised application with further information, or an appeal — and help you decide on the best way forward.

Not sure where to start?

Whether it's one product or a whole range, a first shipment or an audit next month — a short conversation is usually the quickest way to find out what you need.
